8 am and I am already up. It seems I have adapted to the time difference very quickly.
The girls that I met in the hostel are the primary school teachers from Ireland. They are travelling like that almost for a year. I think for me a month is going to be too much!
Shanghai is quite clean city, but yesterday I got into a street where the rotting food was stinking so much (to be precise the watermelons) that I couldn’t stand it and had to cover my nose. Everything start rotting in that heat so quickly!

Local people are very interesting. A lot of them are preparing food on the streets, but still I didn’t have courage to taste it yet. However, I have tasted a watermelon yesterday and the taste was divine! The grapes are so big! Almost like plums! Also their skin is so thick and they are quite sour, reminds those blue grapes that we grow in Lithuania. Peaches are quite nice and juicy!
I have already witnessed spitting in the streets. However, in the metro station they are not allowed to spit on a floor, so they use the rubbish bins. I kind of understand why they spit, since the streets are so full of dust!
Everywhere you look – small workshops. I am not sure what they are fixing there, but most likely bikes and motorbikes. The driving here reminds Egypt. The only difference that in Egypt they didn’t have traffic lights. Though they have them here, but even the busses ignore the red light. For cyclists and motorbikes the traffic lights just don’t exist. Whenever crossing the street you just have to run for your life! I have already learned how to cross on red light – just like the locals do.
Tall buildings looked really impressive at night. Unfortunately, I didn’t capture any good photo with my camera, so here is from pexels.com.

I found this amazing park which looks like Zen heaven. I walked around there and even removed my shoes to rest my feet and stayed there for some time.

There were people training some martial arts or Thai Chi in the park.

As I have mentioned before first meal I had was liver soup with noodles. I still can feel that horrible taste in my mouth.
Today I am going to Zhujiajiao village and in the evening to Guilin.
I really want to eat and my shoulders really hurt from my backpack. At least I am happy that the mosquitoes didn’t bite me at all at night. My roommates were completely covered in bite marks. Probably they have fed all the mosquitoes already for some time or it must be the local deodorant that I have bought in the local shop, which might be repelling them.
