Exploring the Stunning Mosaics of Madaba: Jordan’s Artistic Gem
An early morning was spent exploring the historic city of Madaba before a road trip to Petra was started. First, a traditional breakfast with cardamom coffee was enjoyed. Subsequently, a visit was paid to St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, where the famous 6th-century Holy Land Mosaic Map was admired. Moreover, the fascinating layers of Roman and Byzantine history were uncovered at the Madaba Archaeological Park, which was seamlessly entered using the Jordan Pass. Additionally, the ancient Moabite well and hidden dungeons beneath St. John the Baptist Church were explored, and a stunning panoramic view of the city was captured from its bell tower.
