The day 2 started with a breakfast at Courtyard Marriott hotel. The food is continental, but the compared to Italy the food is either very spicy or tasteless. I had some beans, bacon, egg and coffee. However, in the afternoon my stomach was in great pain. Very painful cramps were becoming frequent and more painful. All of that was followed by diarrhoea… The fact that I was taking Maloff protect tablets (protection from malaria which is recommended in Delhi) wasn’t helping either.
I was very careful, disinfecting my hands, wearing mask and drinking only bottled water and even washing teeth with bottled water, but I suspect that it is impossible to avoid local bacteria. You just have to go through few days of pain and diarrhoea 😀
The next day I’ve spent in bed as fever spiked and couldn’t get up from bed trembling from chills, with cramps in my stomach being better when laying and worse when I was moving.
In late afternoon fever was gone and felt a bit better. Even ordered a local pizza for almost ₹900 from Zomato app, which actually here acquired Uber delivery. However, that ended up in me going to pick up the delivery outside of hotel and falling down on the floor. Lucky me, I’ve had disinfecting wipes, antibiotic cream and a lot of bandaids. No necrotising fasciitis (flesh eating bacteria)! 😀
